PT. Angkasa Pura I plans to open a new flight to the Middle East. This new route hopes can be realized on October. A number of Airlines already expressed interest for operating this new route. Abdullah Usman as General Manager said that the company open big opportunity for any Airlines to working the Middle East route. Unfortunately these routes may not be possible directly.

So far, Saudi Air flights can go directly to Madinah. Then Bussiness Air will be directed through Bangkok. Air Asia will through Kuala Lumpur. Whereas Royal Yordania Airline will through Amman, said Abdullah Usman.

Abdullah Usman hopes that with so many airlines interested in this route, the passenger market Solo-East route could be wider. Not only for Umrah pilgrims, however Indonesian workers and religious tourists to Yerusalem can enjoy this flight.

It's just that there are several obstacles that must be faced, ranging from strict regulations to prices, such as the request of the Ministry of Transportation if a route has been opened it should take a long time. The Middle East also has a rule that if the plane does not land once the time slot is landed, the airline will be sanctioned.
