Hot Drill Exercise Of AFFR Personnel At Adi Soemarmo Airport

Boyolali - 4 June 2015 The Hot Drill regular exercise has been held for AFFR officers. Hot drill is one of AFFR work programs which held at least once a year. Hot drill is carried out with a small scale involves only several agencies, especially external parties around the Adi Soemarmo international airport.

This exercise was carried out on 4 June 2015 in the evening at the perimeter around the environment of Adi Soemarmoairpor, with the scenario of the Jalak Air plane JK 285 from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Solo troubled in the left engine and caught on fire. The Jalak Air plane with 100 passengers, causing 6 people were slightly injured, 4 people were injured, 3 people were seriously injured and 2 people died and 85 people survived.

This exercise was followed by AFFR’s on duty personnel at the time and assisted by units and other related agencies in the environment of Adi Soemarmo airport Surakarta. AFFR uses fire fighting and rescue with Top vehicle Foam Tender I Oshkosh and Rescue Tender IV. The supporting vehicle involved such as commando car, 2 ambulances and utility car as mobile lighting to help lighting in operation. Evacuation process from collecting area to care area was assisted by personnel of Air Force hospitals personnel and KKP Wilker Semarang Central Java.  The crash area was secured by the Aviation Security and supported by Sat POM TNI-AU. So, total personnel of hot drill exercises of 75 people, including the victims.

The intent and purpose of this exercise is to test the effectiveness of organizational structure of the functions of command, communication and coordination between units and related institutions in accordance with the procedure, Emergency Handling and Improve readiness and test the skills of personnel at the International Airport Adi Soemarmo Surakarta and aims to strengthen and improve the procedures, coordination between functional units of rescue and relief work in the relief Emergency fund to improve the quality of human resources and performance of major equipment AFFRÂ in accordance with the Standard Level of Service at International Airport Adi Soemarmo Surakarta.
